After playing the slot, I must say—it’s a real treat for all the OG Gates of Olympus fans. The game is easy to understand since the core mechanics remain the same. The RTP is nearly identical to the original, i.e. 96.50% but the winning potential has definitely been boosted with the highest max win in the series: a massive 50,000x the bet.
Here, landing a combination of 4 or more scatters is a key attraction, offering an instant payout along with free spins that can lead to huge wins. Other than that, most things are the same, except that the 1000X multiplier symbol has been replaced by 500X, which is the highest value that the multiplier symbol can land with. Most importantly, it doesn’t get boring. A lot of slots tend to become repetitive over time when the features don’t evolve, but Gates of Olympus: Super Scatter doesn’t feel that way.
That said, since the mechanics haven’t changed much, it would have been nice to see an upgrade in music or visuals to give it a fresh feel. It could’ve used a bit more innovation—but hey, if the payouts hit… they work!
