Dusk Princess

Dusk Princess Slot game by Hacksaw Gaming

Slot Rating: 7.8/10

Hey folks! Princess Luna is back again with another fantasy-anime adventure. This time it’s all about the twilight vibes in Dusk Princess, the magical moment when the day slowly hands things over to the night.

The whole princess journey actually kicked off in 2024 with “Cloud Princess”, then things got colourful in 2025 with “Rainbow Princess”, followed by the “Sun Princess” later that same year. And now in 2026, the sky is settling into evening with “Dusk Princess”. Each game brings a new sky “mood” or climate, but the overall world stays the same, calm, magical, elegant, and just a little mysterious, exactly the kind of place where a princess casually controls the sky while we spin the reels.

With every new Princess release, things just keep getting more interesting and engaging, both in visuals and strong gameplay. Right from the start, the whole setup looks like a dreamy fantasy world. Princess Luna is chilling on the right side of the reels like she owns the sky (which she probably does), while a cute castle sits in the background, glowing in shades of pink and purple. The vibe instantly pulls you into this magical fairy-tale land. Now the big question is… will this fairy kingdom sprinkle a little magic on our spins too? Let’s find out!

The paytable here keeps things nice and simple with 10 regular symbols. First up are the five shiny gem symbols handling the low pays, and then we move on to the fancy stuff, candles, cards, pots, fans, and crowns. Basically, it feels like we’re rummaging through the princess’s royal treasure room.
Wins happen when 5 or more matching symbols connect, forming clusters. The bigger the gang, the better the reward clusters can go 18+ in size, paying anywhere from 5x up to 150x the bet. Not bad for a bunch of gems hanging out together!
And when a win lands, the game kicks in with Super Cascades. The winning symbols (and any other matching ones) disappear from the reels, making space for new symbols to drop in from above. If the fresh drop creates another win, the cascade party keeps going. Basically, once the reels start clearing out, it’s like the princess saying, “Alright, let’s run that again!” In slots, it’s just how all other Cascade games behave.

Game Mechanics

Blessing Bar

The Blessing Bar sits outside the grid and fills up whenever you land a winning combination. The first time, you need an 8-symbol win to fill it. After that, every time it activates, the requirement increases by 2 more symbols. If the bar doesn’t fill during a spin, it resets for the next one.
Once the Blessing Bar is full, it activates and drops Wild symbols with multipliers onto the reels, then resets again. The first time it activates, you’ll get 3 Wilds. Wilds can replace any symbol in the paytable, and if they are part of a win, their multiplier is added to the payout. If multiple Wilds with multipliers are in the same win, their multipliers are added together.
Each time the Blessing Bar activates again, it becomes stronger. You may get more Wilds, or the multiplier value increases. The multiplier boosts can range from 1x up to 500x.

Bonus Game

  1. The Dusk Court:
Trigger this bonus by landing 3 FS scatter symbols during the base game to receive 10 free spins. In this bonus round, the base game mechanics remain the same, but there is a higher chance of getting more Wild symbols and larger multipliers. Additionally, the Blessing Bar, awarded Wilds, and Multiplier values increase progressively throughout the bonus. The bonus starts with 3 Wild symbols and a 2× multiplier.
  2. Bonus Game -The Lunar Court:
Activate this bonus by landing 4 FS scatter symbols during the base game to receive 10 free spins. This bonus uses the same mechanics as the Dusk Court bonus. However, the awarded Wild symbols start at 4, and the Multiplier starts at 5×. A 15-symbol win is required to fill the Blessing Bar for the first time. After that, the number of winning symbols needed increases by 3 each time the Bar is filled.
  3. The Night Court Hidden Epic Bonus:
Landing 5 FS scatter symbols in the base game triggers the Night Court Hidden Epic Bonus. This bonus keeps the base game mechanics, but the Blessing Bar stays full for the entire bonus and activates once on every free spin after a regular win. The bonus starts with 6 Wild symbols and a 10× multiplier. Each time the Blessing Bar activates, the number of Wilds or the Multiplier value increases.

100 Spins Adventure

Over 100 spins, I played every round at €1.00, starting with a balance of €100. The game’s vibe is very fairy-tale meets anime, which looks great, but most of the time, it was just small wins trickling in.
Then suddenly, boom! I got lucky and triggered “The Dusk Court” free spins. I was given 10 free spins, and by the end of that round, I had won €179.80. Not bad at all!
A few spins later, Luna shows up again… and bang! another 10 free spins. This time the result was a bit more humble, €13.98, but hey, free money is free money.
By the end of the session, the balance was €211.30, so overall it was a pretty decent and entertaining run.

Dusk Princess Final Impression

After playing the fourth addition to the Princess series, it’s clear that Hacksaw Gaming has been evolving the concept with every release. Each game improves not only visually but also mechanically. The series keeps its anime princess theme and cluster-pay gameplay, but gradually introduces new elements like different grid sizes, cascade mechanics, and multiplier systems, making it easy to play while still offering something to learn about slot mechanics.

In Dusk Princess, the biggest addition is the Blessing Bar. This meter fills whenever you get wins in the base game. Once full, wild symbols with multipliers drop onto the grid, sometimes carrying very high values. These multiplier wilds can also combine in the same win, creating the potential for big payouts. The Blessing Bar often triggers something within 3–4 spins, which keeps the gameplay engaging.
The bonus structure is also well-balanced. The Dusk Court bonus triggers more easily and has medium volatility, while the Night Court bonus is much rarer but offers extreme volatility and huge win potential. In the Night Court, the Blessing Bar stays permanently active during free spins, making the 10,000× max win feel realistically possible.

Compared to earlier titles like Rainbow Princess and Sun Princess, which relied more on frame mechanics and transformations, Dusk Princess introduces a progression-based system, where wins gradually build toward a major feature.

Overall, the effort put in by the team is clearly reflected in the game. Both the graphics and the development come together smoothly, creating a polished and cohesive experience. Everything works well in sync, making Dusk Princess a strong addition to the series. With this release, the Princess series remains highly enjoyable and continues to be one of the valuable assets in Hacksaw Gaming’s portfolio.
