The Arcane Feature introduces a spell system that can dramatically transform the reels. At any given time, 9 spells exist within the feature, and up to 3 of them may appear on the reels during a single spin. Spells are activated when a Grimoire symbol lands on the horizontal row. There are two versions of this symbol, each with a different reach:
The standard Grimoire only activates spells on the reel immediately adjacent to where it lands, keeping its influence local.
The Super Grimoire, on the other hand, is far more powerful it activates every spell present on the reels simultaneously. It’s also worth noting that spells can trigger one another. If an activated spell’s area of effect overlaps with another spell, that second spell activates too, creating a chain reaction that can spread across the reels.

When a spell is triggered, it transforms into a wild. Most spells also convert surrounding symbols into wilds depending on their pattern, with two exceptions: scatters and symbols on the horizontal reel are never converted.
The nine spells and their transformation areas are as follows:
•⁠ ⁠Simple Spell:  Converts only itself into a wild.
•⁠ ⁠Vertical Spell:  Converts itself plus the symbols directly above and below it.
•⁠ ⁠Horizontal Spell: Converts itself plus the symbols directly to its left and right.
•⁠ ⁠Plus Pattern Spell: Converts itself plus all four adjacent symbols (above, below, left, and right).
•⁠ ⁠Downward Spell: Converts itself and every symbol below it in the same column.
•⁠ ⁠Upward Spell: Converts itself and every symbol above it in the same column.
•⁠ ⁠Omni-directional Spell: Converts itself and all eight surrounding symbols (the full 3×3 area around it).
•⁠ ⁠Rightmost Spell: Converts itself and every symbol to its right on the same row.
•⁠ ⁠Leftmost Spell: Converts itself and every symbol to its left on the same row.
